Many people have been hurting their electric wheelchairs for many years without knowing it because they do not have professional guidance or have forgotten how to charge them correctly. So how to charge the electric wheelchair?
Electric wheelchair battery charging method and steps:
1. Check whether the rated input voltage of the charger is consistent with the power supply voltage; check whether the charger matches the electric wheelchair; please use the special charger provided with the vehicle, and do not use other chargers to charge the electric wheelchair.
2. Please connect the plug of the output port of the charging appliance to the charging jack of the battery properly, and then connect the plug of the charger to the 220V AC power supply. Be careful not to mistake the positive and negative sockets.
3. At this time, the power supply and charging indicator red light on the charger is on, indicating that the power supply is connected.
4. The full charging time of different types of batteries varies. The full charging time of lead-acid batteries is about 8-10 hours, while the full charging time of lithium battery electric wheelchairs is about 6-8 hours. When the charging indicator turns from red to green, it means that the battery is fully charged. The charger turns green and it is recommended to wait for 1-2 hours for floating charging, but it should not be too long.
5. Continuous charging should not exceed 12 hours, otherwise it will easily cause battery deformation and damage.
6. After charging, you should first unplug the plug connected to the battery, and then unplug the plug on the power supply of the plug-in board.
7. It is also wrong to connect the charger to the AC power supply for a long time or plug the charger into the battery of the electric wheelchair when it is not charging. This will cause damage to the charger for a long time.
8. When charging, it should be carried out in a ventilated and dry place, and nothing can be covered on the charger and battery.
